How to cite a report with no author

There are many types of reports: research reports, government reports, and technical reports are a few examples. However, they are all treated the same way in in-text citations. The in-text citation for a report in APA is similar to those of a journal or a magazine article.

The type of publication (book, journal, newspaper, etc.) is not an essential element in the APA in-text citation. APA includes the author’s last name(s) (or the organization’s name) and the year of publication for in-text citations.

Therefore, to cite a report in APA style, write the report’s individual author’s last name(s), or the organization’s name, and the year it was published.
